About the event

Session 6: Composing and Drawing a Landscape

Bring it all together in the final session with a focus on landscapes. Practice integrating perspective, texture, and composition techniques to create a vivid and expressive outdoor scene that reflects your unique style.

Understanding the Landscape: Observing and Planning

  1. Breaking Down the Scene: Learn to simplify complex landscapes into basic shapes and sections, such as foreground, middle ground, and background. This approach helps in organizing your composition and understanding spatial depth.

  2. Establishing the Focal Point: Identify the most compelling part of the landscape—be it a lone tree, mountain peak, or winding path—and build your composition around it to create visual impact.
