Service Description

In this workshop participants will learn the basics of working with polymer clay through the creation of a Netsuke “Japanese Miniature Sculptures”. Polymer clay is an easily sculpted material that can be fired in a home oven. Participants will be led through the process of working with polymer clay through the creation of 1 or 2 Netsuke of their choice. This will be a hands-on workshop where participants will create a sculpture and have it fired. Participants will then be shown how to fire their artwork and will be able to pick it up after lunch. This is a 2-hour workshop. Lionel Clark is a resourceful and highly imaginative National Board-Certified Teacher with 21 years of professional experience in art education. He offers individualized support and encourage students’ creativity and open mindedness.
