Tony, Tony, Tony

"Tony" and I met over 15 years ago at a conference in Jackson, MS for the Mississippi Art Education Association. He was a presenting artist, conducting a pre-conference workshop for about 50 teachers from all over the state. Since then, Anthony DiFatta and I have collaborated on projects promoting the arts and have become good friends along the way. I am excited to share with you the wonderful art of such a creative, inspiring, and wacky man.

Anthony DiFatta, a Mississippi native, received his BFA from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, art teacher, professional artist, and is currently the Director of Education for the Walter Anderson Museum of Art.

His artwork has been featured on CD covers, posters, books, and as the official art for JubileeJAM, MS Picnic in Central Park, Crossroads Film Fest, Feed the Nation, The Viking Golf Classic, HeArts Against Aids and many more. While teaching art in a therapeutic setting to adults with mental illness, he compiled and designed the book, "Images from the Edge” with a grant from the Society for the Arts in Healthcare.

Anthony’s paintings have been in many solo and group exhibits throughout Mississippi and in New York, Memphis, California, Chicago, Atlanta, Massachusetts, and Louisiana. His work can be seen in private and public collections both nationally and internationally.
