About the event
Explore the beautiful art of indigo dyeing in this creative, hands-on workshop.
Participants will learn Shibori, a traditional Japanese folding and resist technique used to create striking patterns on fabric.
Suzanne will guide students step-by-step through the entire process—from preparing and mixing the indigo dye bath to folding, binding, dyeing, and revealing finished designs. Participants will experiment with several techniques and leave with multiple unique pieces they have created themselves.
All materials, dye, and tools will be provided. Students are also welcome to bring clean fabric or clothing from home to dye or over-dye—perfect for giving new life to old garments or linens.
No prior experience is necessary—just bring curiosity and creativity!
