One of my passions as a visual artist is “en pleine aire”. This allows me to visually interpret my life’s love for travel and adventure. “Watercolor Journaling” captures my special moments in time.

As a recipient of an Outstanding Art Teacher Grant to the San Francisco Academy of Art, I was introduced to the world of plein aire. Since then, I have traveled and participated in many plein aire events and workshops including those in Skopelos, Greece and Venice, Italy. Some closer to home include St. Simon, Georgia, Sarasota and Apalachicola, Florida, and Fairhope, Alabama. Recently, I was honored to be one of the 25 US artists to participate in the “Shadows-on-the-Teche Plein Aire” in New Iberia, Louisiana.

While in my Ocean Springs studio; local flowers, birds, buildings, and landscapes of the Mississippi Gulf Coast became my favorite subjects. But my focus is always changing and evolving, which keeps my life as an artist exciting and full of passion.

You can find my artwork displayed at the Gulfport Regional Airport, in the lobbies of various local banks and condominiums, several corporate offices, and many private collections. There are several pieces available at the Ethotera Gallery in Ocean Springs.
