Service Description

Color Lab 2.0 builds on the foundations introduced in our original Color Lab by focusing on how color functions within a painting. Over four weeks, students will explore how artists use color to create atmosphere, depth, emotion, and visual harmony through guided exercises, demonstrations, and small studies. This lab is designed for students who already have a basic understanding of color vocabulary and mixing, and are ready to move beyond “getting the color right” into using color with greater intention and confidence. Throughout the course, students will investigate: -warm and cool light relationships -atmospheric color and spatial depth -emotional color palettes -saturation and intensity -color editing and simplification -creating harmony within a painting Rather than focusing on finished paintings, this lab emphasizes observation, experimentation, and understanding how color choices affect the overall experience of an image. Students will work through a series of guided studies and exercises designed to strengthen color confidence while developing a more personal and intentional approach to painting. This Lab Is Ideal For: -Students who completed Color Lab 1 -Painters looking to strengthen their use of color -Artists who feel unsure about palette choices -Anyone wanting to better understand mood, light, and atmosphere in painting ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED!! 4 Weeks · 1.5 Hour Sessions · Limited Enrollment
